A Hackathon is a combination of the words “hack” and “marathon”. Individuals come together and use technology to transform their ideas into reality.

LEARN

Hackers will learn from industry professionals on various career-oriented topics like design thinking and creating start-up presentations. All hackers will leave with something new.

ENGAGE

Through this event, hackers develop numerous soft skills while seeking to find a solution to a real-world problem. This constricted time frame makes this process competitive and fun.

NETWORK

Our events allow hackers to create networks. Whether it be an introspective speaker, a representative from a unique organization, or simply a new friend, there is always someone to meet.

What is XdHacks Mini?

XdHacks Mini is a global highschool hackathon nonprofit dedicated to teaching hackers the importance of interdisciplinary learning in the modern technology industry. Our focus on hackers developing an interdisciplinary mindset sets us apart from other Hackathons. We highlight the significance of soft skills such as presenting a pitch, in tandem with hard skills like coding. We believe entrepreneurship, in addition to having a deep foundation within a skill like coding, sets hackers up best for the future.

Hack The Mind

The 2022 event will be themed around mental health. We recognize this as an important topic for high school hackers to be made aware of. As such, the event is dedicated to educating participants about various mental health practices from around the world and through history. We highly encourage participants to implement these topics into their projects.

A Hackathon is a combination of the words "hack "and "marathon". At XdHacks Mini, we believe the word "hack "means to create. It’s an event where people come together and use technology to transform ideas into reality. Additionally, hackers can create projects, attend workshops, meet new people, improve their programming, and have lots of fun!

XdHacks Windsor takes place exclusively online. Registration will be held on this website exclusively and Discord and Zoom will be the communication platform during the Hackathon where webinars and Q & A sessions will be hosted. Technical instructions will be sent to you via email before the Hackathon begins.

Our event encourages hackers to develop their product as much as they can, we do not expect a product ready to be put on the market. Prototyping is a huge part of product creation and, at XdHacks, we are celebrating the creativity and innovative ideas highschool hackers have to approach a real-world issue.

There will be webinars, online side games and plenty of other fun activities to keep you busy. We will have some online team building sessions, so feel free to register alone!

The only participation requirements are that you are a current high-school student with internet access. No coding experience is required!
